The scope of work covered the retrofit supply, installation, and commissioning of a back-flushing filter for the vessel’s main engine system.

The retrofit was carried out to improve filtration efficiency, protect critical engine components, and enhance overall system reliability. All equipment supplied was marine-approved and suitable for continuous operation under engine room environmental conditions.

The works included all necessary electrical and pneumatic modifications, installation of the back-flushing filter unit, integration with the existing system, and connection of control and monitoring interfaces where applicable. All activities were executed in accordance with manufacturer instructions, classification society requirements, and applicable marine and engineering standards.

Comprehensive functional testing and commissioning were performed to verify correct operation of the back-flushing mechanism, pressure monitoring, and system performance. Upon completion, the system was delivered in a safe, fully operational condition, ensuring improved filtration performance, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced main engine protection.
