Installation of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for Cooling Sea Water Pump and Engine Room Fans

The scope of work covered the supply, installation, programming, testing, and commissioning of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) for the vessel’s Cooling Sea Water Pump and Engine Room Ventilation Fans.

All equipment supplied was marine-approved and suitable for continuous operation under engine room environmental conditions. The VFDs were fully integrated with the existing electrical distribution, control, alarm, and monitoring systems, ensuring reliable operation, optimized speed control, and improved energy efficiency.

All necessary electrical and mechanical works were performed, including equipment mounting, cabling, system configuration, and parameterization, in full compliance with manufacturer instructions, classification society requirements, and applicable marine and electrical standards.

Comprehensive functional testing and commissioning were carried out to verify correct operation, protection settings, and system performance under variable load conditions. Upon completion, the systems were delivered in a safe and fully operational condition, providing enhanced operational control, reduced mechanical stress, and improved overall system efficiency.
